Welcome Our New Staff!

MEREDITH KROEZE- SPECIAL EDUCATION My husband and I moved to Virginia just over a year ago from Southern California. I received my undergraduate degree at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) in Communication Disorders and enjoyed my time as a Speech Pathology Assistant following graduation. Over the course of a month, I had a number of people ask me why I had not considered pursuing an career in education and no matter how hard I tried, I could not come up with a good answer. I started working as an instructional aide for middle school special education and fell in love with teaching even more. I am finishing up my Master's Degree in Teaching Special Education from Liberty University. I am thrilled to join the team at Creighton's Corner Elementary School.

Mrs. Kelly White has been a classroom teacher for sixteen years. The past eleven years she has been teaching at Ashburn Elementary in Loudoun County. Prior to teaching in Loudoun, Mrs. White taught in Montgomery County, Maryland and the City of Philadelphia.
Mrs. White has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English from the State University of New York College at Fredonia. She has a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a Reading Specialist certification from Shenandoah University. The 2013-2014 school year will be exciting as she joins the team at Creighton’s Corner as a reading specialist.

Hi Creighton's Corner Colts! My name is Emelie Duke, and I cannot wait to join the first grade team next school year! This May I became a double Hoo graduating from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's in Teaching for Elementary and Special Education. I grew up outside of Richmond with two sisters, two wonderful parents, and a sweet dog named Nelle. I love running, reading, and spending time outside. While in Charlottesville, I taught in a variety of classrooms from Kindergarten to High School and from Special Education to Gifted Enrichment Programs. This September I am ready to bring my experience, excitement, and energy to Creighton's Corner Elementary! Enjoy your summer vacation, and I can't wait to become a Colt this fall!

Robin Kim was born and raised in Korea, but she came to the United States almost twenty - eight years ago when her family decided to immigrate. Learning a new language and adjusting to a new culture was adventurous and challenging, especially starting high school in a totally new environment. In 1992, she received the Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and received the Master of Arts in Education with specialties in teaching learning disabilities and reading from Regent University in 1994. She has been teaching for the past seventeen years in Virginia and North Carolina.
Fortunately, during those years, she was honored as a Teacher of the Year at an elementary school, Reading Teacher of the Year at a middle school, and she was featured in a North Carolina school county magazine.   Two years ago, she acquired a National Board Teacher Certification in Literacy - Reading and Language Arts.
She is passionate about teaching, and she loves seeing students blooming with confidence and soaring with success.  Being a teacher, she can always count on those "Kodak" moments at all times!
Currently, she lives in Ashburn with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, hiking  in the Shenandoah Mountains, playing tennis, watching football, listening to music, playing piano, hanging out at the beach, and reading.

Kristin Kime received her bachelor's degree from Radford University and her master's degree from the University of Virginia.  She is married with two sons named Jackson and Mason.  Mrs. Kime knew she wanted to become a teacher since the first grade!   She has been teaching fourth grade for the past eight years in Fairfax County.  She loves all of the subject areas, but she especially enjoys teaching Virginia history and math.  Her first passion is teaching, but she also loves playing soccer, reading, arts and crafts, watching movies and playing with her two boys.    Some fun facts about Mrs. Kime are... she is an advanced brown belt in Karate, she played division one college soccer and was captain of the team for two years, she can spin a basketball on her finger just like the globe trotters, she can play music with her hands and also plays the piano.

She is so excited to join the Creighton's Corner family next school year!

Inspirational Performer from My Hometown

When I knew Landau (he was Dooney to us) he was a kid break-dancing for quarters at the bowling alley. He is living proof that God paints his most beautiful paintings on the canvas of mediocrity.
